During our reading circles, Carleigh will share a story, and then each child can bring one book that they would like to share with their fellow Trails families and they can read it to the group!

If you would like to bring a story, we ask that you pick one of your favorite shorter reads (a book that typically takes 2 minutes or less to read through). If your child wants to read a longer book, you are welcome to share your favorite short section of the book.

If you are interested in watching the reading circle, but do not want to read or share a book with the group, we welcome you to still join and follow along!

If you have a mat, a blanket, or even a rug, we recommend doing yoga on a softer surface to be more comfortable.

For this activity, you will need:

• 3+ cups of shaving cream (foam not gel)

• 1 cup of flour

• 1 cup of white glue (Elmer’s)

• Food coloring or paint

• Ziploc sandwich bags

• Sturdy paper or board (cardboard, poster board, or watercolor paper)

Today, we are going to learn how to make a parachute with Robin teacher, Finja!

For this activity, you will need:

• A coffee filter

• Four pieces of string (string, yarn, ribbon, whatever you have at home)

• Tape

• A small, light toy (a toy animal, lego person, etc)

• A paper bowl (optional)
